RotoSpa, like many Hot Tub manufacturers, found success during the COVID pandemic - with many people investing in their homes when they couldn’t travel.

But in 2022 with energy prices soaring and holidaying back on the cards, they needed fresh thinking to stand out and continue to grow.

The challenge was to define the brand, a new strapline and build out a scalable approach to growth for their business.

Insight

“Relax”, “take time out” - these are category cliches.

RotoSpa is the UK’s only Hot Tub manufacturer - but why should people care and why is that special?

Because the team is a group of hot-tub wizards who tirelessly innovate energy saving features; build their tubs using lightweight material that means they can be rolled through the home to the garden rather than craned in; they even have DJ version of a Hot Tub that tours to festivals.

Solution

A brand strategy that brought RotoSpa’s culture of inventiveness to the fore. We centred on the ‘Creator’ archetype and defined website, communications and language principles to showcase playful innovation.

From there we have worked with the team to define an approach to Growth Marketing where we test and learn around numerous channels, messages and promos to determine a sustainable path to growth in a challenging environment.
